Slack has been used for official business for quite some time and its much more useful than any other instant messenger staff have used. 

We discussed it amongst the 3 active staff members, Nuup, Lord, and I, and that was all of the validation we needed as others were considered too inactive to have a proper say in the matter.

Yes it was an emergency thing. Yes we are not going to keep that system.

if that's the case then that's why official and forum discussions are useful , puts us all on the same page makes us alert to some things we may otherwise not have been, I'll give this a look into but honestly just seemed like a darn scroll list to me.
