Open Redstone Engineers - General Guidelines
This is currently a compiled list of general guidelines to ensure good conduct and behavior on our servers. Violation of these "rules" can range anywhere from a written warning to an indefinite ban.
In-Game:
  • Maintain polite conversation (do not badmouth other players or engage in excessive swearing).
  • Respect the boundaries of plots and their owners’ rules.
  • Give credit to all work that is borrowed. Any and ALL plagiarism will result in a ban. (This is of course referring to things more considerable than simply logic gates, where the number of possible designs is limited).
  • Avoid causing a lot of lag with WorldEdit. A useful tip may be to keep the light updates to a minimum – for instance, make huge floors glass.
  • Do not ask for a rank increase.
  • Do not post NSFW(18+) material.
  • Your account is your responsibility. If actions are performed under your account, you will be held liable.
  • Generally, be kind to others.
Forums:
  • Do not post in the application subforum unless you are applying. These will result in a warning on the forums.
  • Do not post in un-affiliated incident reports or ban appeal threads. These will result in a warning on the forums.
  • Avoid making multiple threads just for the sake of shit-posting.
  • In general, follow the terms of service pointed out here.
IRC:
  • Bots:
    • Bots should only speak to the user who would like for it to be spoken to. Be it either a command-based bot or an updater bot that notifies, it should receive the explicit consent of the recipient to receive the message.
    • Bots should only speak in private messages so as to avoid clogging public communication.
  • When speaking, avoid spam just as like in-game.
  • Do not post NSFW(18+) material.
  • As a tip: post short URLs, because many long URLs do not work from in-game.

The staff of Open Redstone Engineers reserves the right to modify these rules at any given time.
