Minecraft name:
arthena1000
What do you like the most about redstone?:
The sky's the limit
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?:
I have built several fully programmable computers, the latest of which managed to get a clock speed of 1.5 seconds and can do 4 bit multiplication in ~23.7 seconds (without a hardware multiplier) also it can reach 15 in FizzBuzz in ~12.5 minutes.
What does the thing do?:
It's quite flexible, so pretty much anything you can program into it. It has conditional jumps, flags, RAM, a CLA adder based ALU, 32 byte data ROM and a 64 word 24 bit Instruction ROM.
Image/s and/or video/s of the device, from imgur.com or youtube.com:
Picture 1 - This is my V4.0 computer which is currently my latest computer (the image was taken before I added the hex display):
Picture 2 - Shows the hex display showing the value for 15 while running the fizzbuzz program (F0 means fizz, 0b menas buzz and Fb means fizzbuzz):
This video is of the old V3.0 computer doing 4 bit multiplication by shifting and adding in ~38 seconds (the V4.0 is a little faster than this but I don't have a decent video of it on youtube):
What do you plan on making for your build trial?:
Probably a small hex display if that is acceptable? (that'll might take around 30 to 60 minutes to build and program it by hand)
Without world edit I am very limited in what I can do in a short amount of time.
Do you agree with the rules?:
Yes
