After the recent news that the ALU on the ps4 will be around 40% faster than the xbox one, it got me thinking. Why still buy one? Discuss, and give some good arguments!
That's a terrible reason, Virt. Not only is the PS4 $100 less than the Xbone, but it also has a faster processing system and more open memory. The CPU is also brand new while the Xbone has one still related to a computers so it's much easier to hack (thanks Microsoft).
Making a CPU closer to PC architecture is good, in pretty much every way.
If consoles have x86 (which they both do, I believe), they will be much easier to transfer games to/from PC, so hopefully, we will get less shitty console ports ... maybe xD
For once the consoles will be better than some people's PC builds, which I find pretty funny. Both XBox and PS4 have good hardware, but PS4 is obviously the better of the two. The only reason anyone would buy the XBox is for the exclusive games like Forza and Halo.

I don't think consoles have beaten the computers of nowadays juuuust yet.

Mind you, the two (computers and consoles) are slowly becoming one. It's not that they're beating out computers, it's that they are (generally weaker) computers, specialized for one task. Also, use the parent distro, Debian. Ubuntu does evil things. (Mint's not awful.) (Or just build your own distro.)
