As I said many times, some people don't like rank association. People also turning it off doesn't necessarily mean low tallies. Some people just do not like that.
I was thinking about it, since there already is a system in place that makes it possible to ban people who bully. The opt-out system is really only useful for people who either: A. Don't like looking at the visual part of the system (aka tallies) and B. The possibility of exploitation or something (which I don't think is possible). Is it really worth programming in opting in and out just so people who don't like the look of a few chars next to names can be humored?
I don't see how banning relates to being opted in/out to a entertainment system.
What I mean is bullying isn't an issue that needs to be handled within the system, because it is already a thing that can get you banned. So the only reason to opt-in or opt-out is if you don't want to look at the tallies. So it seems sort of useless.
