I don't think displaying the plot of a prospective staff member is relevant at all to the matter at hand. Just because someone builds cool redstone stuff, doesn't mean that they'd make a good moderator/admin. Also just because someone isn't the best with redstone, doesn't mean they would be terrible at being a staff member. Let's use cut as an example. He was pretty good at redstone, whether you liked him or not, and he knew quite a bit about computer architecture and built a lot of stuff, but I think we can all agree that the day he was made a staff member would be a dark day indeed.
I think a much better thing would be for an existing staff member to organise a series of short interviews with the candidates (2 or 3 minutes) and post those online. It would give people who don't really know some of the candidates a chance to consider them rather than just voting for the people you know.
