CPUs, CPUs, CPUs, GPU-ish thing?, random crap... and magic

What does the thing do?:

2 out of the 3 CPUs sit there and do nothing, one of them displays unwanted messages on a huge lamp screen, the GPU-ish thing fails to draw a line and magic does magic
