Just a shift register, except each input to each register has a demux first, and if the demux is active, it goes into the register. If not, it goes into the next register, creating a loop of shift registers that can be turned on or off.

Have u looked into making a bi-directional Barrel shifter?
U can add registers to that and make a sick as shit shifter.
I like ur design btw, just giving u an idea for ur next project
