Minecraft name: tjpc3
What do you like the most about redstone?: CPU Building
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: A 4-bit CPU called WaffleFries (I did not make the name) with:
- CLE ALU that can add, subtract, and compare numbers
- A randomizer
- Four accumulators
- Two binary inputs and one binary output
- An instruction decoder with 3 T-states for each instruction
- And an Instruction set with the following instructions: nop, mov, lda, add, sub, jmp, cmp, rand, js, out, and hlt
- (Minor sidenote: I wrote an assembler that converts instructions into binary for easy programming)
What does the thing do?:
It can run programs with a maximum of 16 instructions using any of instructions above
Image/s and/or video/s of the device, from imgur.com or youtube.com:
The CPU is also on the school server on my plot.
What do you plan on making for your build trial?:
A control matrix most likely.
Do you agree with the rules?:
Yes.
