You're not showing a lot about this combo lock, meaning that I have no clue what it actually does.
Here's my assumption:
You input, in some other place than the buttons, an order in which the 5 buttons have to be pressed in.
To open the door it is connected to, you have to press the buttons in the right order, which was as stated above input via some other place, for it to open. This would be called a permutation lock.
Is that the case?
