Build Server App - zombachu - 07-07-2013 [DISCLAIMER] I am not mainly a logic redstoner, however I have worked on many logic-based projects and I understand the subject. I just don't know the fancy names of stuff What is your In Game Name (IGN): zombachu What in particular interests you most about redstone: How real life mechanics and logic can be implemented using only basic functions (inverters and diodes). Which prompt have you selected to build: Prompt 5 If you selected prompt 5, what is the prompt that you have designed: I am planning to build a couple things, but if I have time I'll build some more of my creations that I find cool. The first things I will build are a lever-programmable sequential combination lock and a compact binary decoder. Please provide an explanation of your device: The combo lock can be easily programmed by flicking the lever corresponding to the number you want to be in the correct combo. It's infinitely expandable, and actually consists of a lot of timing-based redstone (lol). The binary decoder uses a layer technique instead of the traditional row by row and gates. I made this with my friend, Nikwillorstuff, back in 1.4. Please provide image or video documentation of your device hosted by either imgur.com or youtube.com: Combo Lock: Binary Decoder: Do you agree to the rules of our server: (yes/no) Yes RE: Build Server App - JeremyG - 07-07-2013 You're not showing a lot about this combo lock, meaning that I have no clue what it actually does. Here's my assumption: You input, in some other place than the buttons, an order in which the 5 buttons have to be pressed in. To open the door it is connected to, you have to press the buttons in the right order, which was as stated above input via some other place, for it to open. This would be called a permutation lock. Is that the case? RE: Build Server App - zombachu - 07-07-2013 Yes that's what it does. I thought I got the levers in the shot, but I must've missed it by a couple pixels. Here's a better view from the top (combo is 1214): RE: Build Server App - JeremyG - 07-07-2013 Looks good, get on the server for a trial ;3 RE: Build Server App - zombachu - 07-07-2013 Awesome, thanks! |
