Your problem is you are trying to give the bare minimum here.
This server focuses on redstone computing. As such, what he is looking for is an understanding of digital logic and it's application in functioning computers or arithmetic units (he wants computer parts). If you show him a computer, ALU (not an adder ALU), or just a type of individual arithmetic component (again, not an adder) you should be fine.
If you can't do this immediately, you must build the component yourself and take a picture of it. (Hint: make the tic tac toe game actually build strategies to defeat you, and use that memory unit you built to store the score.)
If you don't know how, you must apply for the school server.
