Due to the update we could not properly apply the theme. We are working on either making a new one or finding one that suits us.

Try setting you theme in user cp to ore master. Almost works.

Don't do that, if I can prevent it I'll do that, but for now take my word for it that that theme is rather broken and I would strongly discourage its use.

I lost my avatar. Probably only affects users who uploaded their avatars (instead of using a link, or default).

Yes, I will admit it's not perfect, but I had no choice to wait any longer. I do intend to get a theme at some point, either made by someone in the community or from the internet, but this is what it is for now.

Edit: Pretty much all the icons and smilies are missing from the old theme

one thing that bothers me that the new version didnt change is the way read forums update.

I don't like that if you read everything in a sub-sub-forum and then navigate to the main page it still looks like there's something unread in that sub-forum.

also the user avatar picture thing has a 10KB size limit.
This may be why some profile pictures aren't displaying correctly.

For those of you who wish to make a theme I will try and get them the files soon, for those of you who do not wish to make a theme please post here commenting on these themes.

We can try and edit those themes to fit our color scheme.

Chi: No, you really couldn't, unless you're a MyBB expert. These themes are composed of hundreds of HTML templates, many of which (but I don't know which ones) need to be updated for new features/changes in 1.8. For example, without making any changes, it's impossible to register using the old theme because it won't show the security question.

In short, I'd like someone to make/find a new theme, not fix the old one.

I'll also make clear I only determined the old one needs to be put out to pasture after about a week of trying to fix it myself. I had it pretty good, but every time I'd fix something, I'd find 2 more things that were broken.

Tyler had to change servers. This isn't a new forum, this is a whole new server. He was paying for two and only wanted one, which is understandable.

Plus, it's a new version of MyBB, which is the reason why our theme is incompatible.

edited some more to support more than just the front page, although most is not yet changed.


I ran into a lot of decision making and figured it would get too much of a big project for me to do alone. people where happy with what I did so far, but the whole thing is far from done, I will however upload it anyway so others can mess with it: if you wanna try them out, you can use inspect element, go into the head and replace the two links to global.css and css3.css with the links above.

on mobile, the quick reply buttons... vanish under the text field... making u have to select all>cut then paste into a new nomad reply... not that major, but still annoying.

I see someone added the ol' logo onto the header. let me recommend a tiny change in the CSS to make it fit in a little
in global.css, line 45 under #logo, change the background color to #FAF6EA.

At the moment changing the zoom level makes it look bad cuz of dumb white borders
