Archive of logic circuits i've made or frequently use - Apocryphan - 01-25-2015

I went through about 55 world saves and copied all logic/computer circuits and even a few survival things that can be made into computer circuits. I do not lay claim to EVERY piece in here, things like a small A not B gate and the basic binary to hex converter I added just so I never have to look through all those world saves again... Any questions on anything, feel free to ask, I wish i had time to label a map of it but i'm headed to minneapolis for the week and leaving my pc behind, but i'll be lurking on my phone from time to time. And anything I made you can use without any due credit, like tesla i'm shredding any and all patents so we can advance without worries.

Cool I will be downloading that when I get home.

Ok, I'll bite...

...what does this do?

It's my design for a printer. If you clear away the sponge block picture, you can press a button to choose a block to add starting in the bottom left corner. Once the 1st column hits the top a bud will trigger to push it right. Once it hits the right a bud flop will hold the leftside pistons on to prevent more blocks.

I have a 15 block version too with the block output in the middle so it is 7moves at most to get the block in. Uses an analog signal to determine how many moves and puts it in a large comparator loop to trigger the SS amount of moves. The version you see is 4 moves at most since there are only 9 block options. Can be any block that is pushable by piston.

The ink (block) ribbon also uses SS to choose which row to advance, and triggers a stone gen to push them forward. The ribbon can be extended or shortened depending on how often you want to refill.

You can remove the stone floor around the buttons, up to the display. So you can see the pistons and hoppers. I just added it to see if it could all fit underground except the display and buttons.

Good question, im glad you asked Smile

Nice, I've been starting to think about a minecraft printer.

And maybe with slime blocks (or even just sticky pistons?) an infinite tape output... and then 2D... even 3D? (haven't fully thought through whether this is even possible)

So in the admirable spirit of patent-free technology, there's an idea for anyone who hasn't considered it yet: some kind of turtle graphics.

This can be made into a 3d printer by pushing each 2d slice outward and printing another. I made it before 1.8 so i kinda wanna try it with slime or maybe a horizontal piston train too.

Wow, that looks very useful for a server

I would put all those designs in one place and call it a "Plot O' Logic" wouldn't that be cool if our server had one of those

Good idea, maybe we can make a thread, pick categories, and have everyone post any version they know, maybe doing a category a week.

I like how we have a plot of logic but we need a plot of logic
