Shooting - greatgamer34 - 11-26-2014

To everyone posting about the ferguson shooting, no one knows the full story, and if you think you do know the full story, please link the article where you found the information.
If you are finding this info out on Fox/CNN/any national news service, you are probably being misfed information and most people are too gullible to realize this. These national news AGENCIES have a huge bias, and only release the info that they want to get out.
If you think all of a sudden you have a degree in law and understand how cops should do their jobs and stuff then I just ask that you do some research and actually figure out what youre talking about.
Do the research for yourself, view unedited interviews on youtube. Write a report, and then go ahead and post about it on facebook.
"A few days after the shooting, the Ferguson Police Department released a video of a convenience store robbery that occurred only minutes before the shooting. It showed Brown taking cigarillos and shoving a store employee who tried to prevent him from leaving. The timing of the video release received criticism from some media, the Brown family, and some public officials, who viewed the release as an attempt to impeach Brown."(wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Michael_Brown)
Lets ponder this for a while, an 18 year old, teenage of african decent STOLE multiple items from a convenience store. Now, would a person of high character steal items? The answer is no. Would a person with morals steal? Once again the answer is no. Would a cop steal from a store? NO!
See what I'm getting at here?

Cops don't just shoot people because they want too. They take action because it is what they are trained to do in situations that could result in the cops death.
No matter what, rioting is an extremely stupid thing to do. If I may give just a little history lesson to anyone still reading, Mahatma Gandhi was able to use non violent protesting to get his point across. "Gandhi had the base to employ noncooperation, nonviolence and peaceful resistance as his "weapons" in the struggle against the British Raj"(wiki- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahatma_Gandhi#Noncooperation).
Even though he was killed, he is still looked upon as a great leader and as someone who can be highly respected. This is because he believed in his self righteous cause and knew that he could fight the oppression without violence.
Back on track, maybe Ferguson should step up, stop rioting, and try a more civilized approach to this. But wait, its too late. The fucked them selves over by getting heated because they thought they were 'wronged', and of course if you lose someone close to you, you will feel wronged(I've lost people close to me, just like the people of ferguson lost someone).
My intent here is to raise awareness and stop people from commenting as if they had a primary source and documentation of the event. Share this, and maybe, just maybe, we could stop stupid shit from happening elsewhere as well.

RE: Shooting - greatgamer34 - 11-26-2014

i took a slight bias to the cop, but i still want to try to remain neutral. please post our comments/opinions.

I posted this on facebook and i wanted to hear all of you guys' inputs on this. We are a smart community so i want to know what other intellectuals think about this.

RE: Shooting - Legofreak - 11-26-2014

I believe both parties were at fault. Michael was being an asshole and the cop was just a dumbass that couldnt think fast enough.

BTW the convenience store incident has nothing to do what happened the day he was killed. it wasn't the same day and the cop knew nothing about it at the time.

I say that concerning yourselves with politics is silly T_T

RE: Shooting - Xray_Doc - 11-26-2014

It was a split second decision. He took the chance that he was coming at him with a weapon or was coming to take his. It was completely justifiable and only the protesters made that shooting into a race war.

Recently, there was a 12 year old black kid in a mall with an airsoft gun. The kid was huge for his age, tall and big, could easily be mistaken for someone older. His parents let him run around the store on his own and there are reports he was pointing at people. Its okay though, it's just an AS gun right? Except the fact he broke off the Orange tip. So cops eventually showed up, and he had the gun on the front of his pants. Cops told him to put his hands in the air, but you know what he did? He reached for the fucking gun. They made the decision they can't risk cop or civilian lives and shot him killing him.

The cops choices are completely justifiable in the law. Its the civilians who have no one else to blame blaming them for problems that don't exist.

So once again, THIS WAS NEVER ABOUT RACE UNTIL PEOPLE MADE IT ABOUT RACE

RE: Shooting - AFtExploision - 11-27-2014

What happened exactly? I am not up on current events

RE: Shooting - Xray_Doc - 11-27-2014

A black kid got shot by a white police officer and people think the shooting was unjustified just because of race and the belief he wasn't attacking or resisting arrest.

RE: Shooting - scrounchtike - 11-27-2014

Thats why I do not have a real opinion on Ferguson shooting. Its just way too biased and nobody knows what really happened.

So yeah, I find it totally absurd that the tragic incident of the shooting of a young man is suddenly overtaken by some race debate. Anyway, i did not look up the facts and I think people should be outraged by way more important shit going on in the world, rather that a race debate that was not one in the beginning.
Thats all I got to say,

Ignorance is bliss
Why try to understand a problem when you can ignore it?

RE: Shooting - Xray_Doc - 11-27-2014

Just ignore the liberals andwatch the protests, it's hilarious.
