the upside down slab thing does work... you just use the metadata differently... do /i 44 1 (slab meta here)

no slabs!!!! that would make half slabs pointless and we would have to use glowstone. but we will have slime blocks to make pistons so much more awesome.

Yes slabs but not cheaty upside down slab item.

Everyone, calm down... I don't anticipate there being much of an issue with updating to 1.8, for a few reasons: 1. Dinnerbone is taking it upon himself to update Bukkit to 1.8 personally, 2. Forge for 1.8 won't require that Forge be installed client-side, meaning that it should be able to take over for Bukkit should the need arise.

They can't use bukkits API with out worrying about the DMCA. Forge must wait for MCP And lex has to update both Forge and FML now that cpw retired from developing it.

Well, on the bright side there still is forge and the new sponge (which looks promising already!)

Guys, this is why we have people like MD5 from http://www.spigotmc.org/ >.> They've been maintaining non-shit bukkit for year(s) now. Use that. *facepalm*

99.99% of huge servers actually use it with bungeecord Tongue

Believe it or not, Spigot is just a modification of CraftBukkit, ...

That miiight be a problem, Phy. If they started early enough, maybe not.

RE: No hope for a 1.8 bukkit update.. - Chibill - 09-18-2014

There is updates in the form of patches to the last build of spigot.

It's been around for ages. *goes internetting*

On THAT Jenkins, and Jenkins builds only (probably dev (1-128) local).

Safe to say Spigot is good to go. It may have more recent acquisitions from Bukkit that I don't know of, but probably not of the core server shit.

RE: No hope for a 1.8 bukkit update.. - Chibill - 09-19-2014

But you can't download the server with out bit tournet then you need to apply there update patch every update.
