MOS 6502 - Cutlassw30 - 04-26-2014 Why has no one tried to make the MOS 6502 in minecraft yet? It could actually be amazingly fast if implemented with cache. (like 10 tick per instruction execution) due to the limited amount of registers (only 1 register connects to the ALU). So why not? RE: MOS 6502 - Chibill - 04-26-2014 I don't know. Or maybe a Z80. RE: MOS 6502 - jxu - 04-26-2014 I get the feeling no one knows about it. RE: MOS 6502 - Cutlassw30 - 04-26-2014 (04-26-2014, 12:43 AM)͝ ͟ ͜ Wrote: I get the feeling no one knows about it. It was the CPU in the Commandor 64, BBC micro, NES and much more. Probably the most important processor from that time frame. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOS_Technology_6502 RE: MOS 6502 - tyler569 - 04-26-2014 I spent a couple weeks of my life enveloping myself in this CPU, I'll leave these here for the next generation: http://www.visual6502.org/JSSim/expert.html http://skilldrick.github.io/easy6502/#first-program http://www.downloads.reactivemicro.com/Public/Electronics/CPU/6502%20Schematic.pdf Thing's good stuff |
