Two sound outputs on windows 8? - David - 01-12-2014
Here's the deal: I've got a headset which I want to run my sound through in most cases. But when I want to let somebody else hear something I'd like to be able to just turn on my speakers and also let the sound run through that.
I don't want to go into my control panel to change the sound settings every time, is there a setting to have two sound outputs? Then I can just turn off the speakers when I don't need 'em. Running windows 8 here.

Sound is a rather hard in windows, But I think that you can map applications to default to a specific output.

If this forum becomes host to windows 8 debugging and problem threads, god help our souls. I know MySQL scales well, but I don't think we have the tebibytes for that.

Why not a forum rule for that? The next person to make a thread about windows 8 is going to be banned!

It's really not hard, find the thing shaped like a speaker, click it, and press the appropriate things.
