Bits for Hexadecimal - Phase - 07-10-2015 010 = 3 bits fcf = ??? After some googling, I've found that they are called nybbles or semioctets. Both of those sound lame, so I don't know if anyone wants to make a new word for them. RE: Bits for Hexadecimal - Legofreak - 07-10-2015 I've been using the term "nibble" for a few years because its half a byte. lame humor but it works... I called my first hex memory "NIBL-16" because of this. 16 nibbles=64 bits https://forum.openredstone.org/showthread.php?tid=1560 woooo 2013 RE: Bits for Hexadecimal - slugdude - 07-25-2015 I call them 'hits'. Because for B IT, it's Binary digIT, so for Hexadecimal digIT it could be HIT. So fcf would be 3 hits. *slaps phase 3 times* RE: Bits for Hexadecimal - jxu - 08-01-2015 12-bit word |
