As one can tell, our theme looks... rather bad.
I am having a poll here and would love to see the communities opinion.
The theme that I am wanting will need a color modification, red-based, and looks quite nice.
If you want to make your own theme vote on the appropriate options and tell us what you wish to do with it.

But keep the default theme (not default 1.8) open for people to use. Default has the banner working default 1.8 does not.

No I said that myBB's word processor / editor in 1.8 is great. Irrelevant to the theme xD

MyBB website talks about a Template and Theme Editor
As far as I can tell (10mins research, so I'm no expert), this is part of the MyBB install - accessed from the admin's control panel. I expect somebody who's used it can explain why it's no good.
The MyBB community seems pretty active, so maybe their forums is a good place to get help.
