So... It's been a while... - David - 02-04-2015 Hi, It's me. I recently started up minecraft again in a overwhelming mood of boredom and I found out that the game is awesome. I can't reach any of the servers though. I've fixed the connection to the school server by the instructions nick gave in another topic but I can't ping the build server, how would I connect to it? -David (Good to be here again ) RE: So... It's been a while... - greatgamer34 - 02-04-2015 use 1.7.10 also Welcome back! RE: So... It's been a while... - Nickster258 - 02-04-2015 mc.openredstone.org sc.openredstone.org The IPs have not changed. Also, me hosting has not changed anything else either. SC.openredstone used to redirect to redstonewarrior but I recently redirected it to my IP. RE: So... It's been a while... - Chibill - 02-04-2015 Wish I could be more active but I am addicted to gmod ttt. RE: So... It's been a while... - Nuuppanaani - 02-05-2015 Welcome back David! <33 RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-08-2015 It says it can't resolve the host name . RE: So... It's been a while... - Nickster258 - 02-08-2015 RIP. Type those into cmd with "ping nick.openredstone.org" and it will spit out the numerical IP. Use that to connect. BTW, build is port 25569 and school is 25565. RE: So... It's been a while... - EDevil - 02-08-2015 Good to hear RE: So... It's been a while... - Nickster258 - 02-08-2015 Edev!!!!!!?!!!1!1!?1!1!? RE: So... It's been a while... - PabloDons - 02-08-2015 Ohey evil, whats up with u just lurking around? I'd love to talk to u again, Bern a while RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-16-2015 Seems like it still doesn't work, though . This is what I'm using to try and connect 96.32.149.25:25569 RE: So... It's been a while... - PabloDons - 02-16-2015 isn't it mort that is hosting the build server? try pinging mort.openredstone.org and connecting to that ip. idk what port mort is hosting the server on so if 25569 doesn't work, try 25565. else idk what it could be RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-16-2015 I'll give that a go, thanks! RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-16-2015 It worked! RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-17-2015 Soooooooo, now teamspeak is being a little bitch, ts.openredstone.org doesn't work <18:27:29> Trying to resolve hostname ts.openredstone.org <18:27:37> Failed to resolve hostname 'ts.openredstone.org' Any suggested fixes? RE: So... It's been a while... - PabloDons - 02-17-2015 figure out who hosts the teamspeak server, figure out what domain points to them, figure out at what port teamspeak is running on, use that combination of ip and port to connect instead I cannot help you any further because I do not actually know who hosts the ts server or at what port it runs on RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-17-2015 Yeah, I pinged openredstone.org and searched online for the default ts port, that combo doesn't work though. Can anyone help me? RE: So... It's been a while... - Chibill - 02-17-2015 ts.openredstone.org RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 02-17-2015 That's exactly what I tried... RE: So... It's been a while... - Nickster258 - 02-19-2015 So ts.openredstone.org points to tyler.openredstone.org:9987. Ts.openredstone.org is an SRV record that includes the port of the host and the IP. Try pinging tyler.openredstone.org if you still can't connect and connect through the numerical IP. RE: So... It's been a while... - Xray_Doc - 02-20-2015 Nice ego RE: So... It's been a while... - David - 03-03-2015 (02-19-2015, 03:41 PM)Nickster258 Wrote: So ts.openredstone.org points to tyler.openredstone.org:9987. What's up with all of these SRV's? Are more people complaining about not being able to connect? I'll try this method tomorrow, thanks. |
