Hi, It's me. I recently started up minecraft again in a overwhelming mood of boredom and I found out that the game is awesome. I can't reach any of the servers though. I've fixed the connection to the school server by the instructions nick gave in another topic but I can't ping the build server, how would I connect to it?

The IPs have not changed. Also, me hosting has not changed anything else either. SC.openredstone used to redirect to redstonewarrior but I recently redirected it to my IP.

RIP.
Type those into cmd with "ping nick.openredstone.org" and it will spit out the numerical IP. Use that to connect. BTW, build is port 25569 and school is 25565.

isn't it mort that is hosting the build server?
try pinging mort.openredstone.org and connecting to that ip. idk what port mort is hosting the server on so if 25569 doesn't work, try 25565. else idk what it could be

Soooooooo, now teamspeak is being a little bitch, ts.openredstone.org doesn't work

figure out who hosts the teamspeak server, figure out what domain points to them, figure out at what port teamspeak is running on, use that combination of ip and port to connect instead
I cannot help you any further because I do not actually know who hosts the ts server or at what port it runs on

So ts.openredstone.org points to tyler.openredstone.org:9987.
Ts.openredstone.org is an SRV record that includes the port of the host and the IP.
Try pinging tyler.openredstone.org if you still can't connect and connect through the numerical IP.

What's up with all of these SRV's? Are more people complaining about not being able to connect? I'll try this method tomorrow, thanks.
