mrcram90's Application - mrcram90 - 01-26-2015 Hi! Minecraft name: mrcram90 What do you like the most about redstone?: The most I like about redstone is, that it's possible to build such complex things like a computer in such a "simple" game like minecraft. What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I've built a small 4bit-computer. What does it do?: -It has got three registers to choose and you can read/write from all of them. -It can add two numbers and save the sum in the register you've chosen. -It can add two numbers from two different registers, but the saving-function for that isn't working right now. -It has got a 4bit-display to show which number is saved into the selected register. Image and/or video, from imgur.com or youtube.com: -My redstone computer- Do you agree with the rules?: Yup! RE: mrcram90's Application - mrcram90 - 01-28-2015 Pls reply RE: mrcram90's Application - mrcram90 - 01-28-2015 ????? RE: mrcram90's Application - dylanrusell - 01-29-2015 Looking at our standards because you can do higher functions than addition like multiplication, this does seem trial worthy. The only thing that slightly wants me to say no is an Alu is more than just an adder, it also has a logic unit hence Arithmetic Logic Unit. You are accepted for trial! I know that an ALU is more than just an adder. Becaus e of that i wrote "ALU". Thanks What should i do now? Also one key thing you might want to do is tell the Admin/Mod what you are building to make sure that your trial build meets the requirements. Please tell me just some examples. RE: mrcram90's Application - Dcentrics - 01-30-2015 Impress us! I am always open to new logic but keep it in the computer realm of redstone. Complex adders (no rca) like instant carry(new designs of instant carry) cla, cle, lfa, and memory. Just don't worry about not finishing either, if you do a good job at building most of it and you don't finish its fine. That's kinda the reason that we have the 1 hour limit. We do not care to see your entire build completed and working but we are all about your explanation of your build. (not saying to just place a block, say your done, and explain how that block was going to become a cpu with 10 cores 65gb of ram and a fully fledged gpu.) <---As much as I would like to see that don't do it! |
