Tiny home server case - EDevil - 08-19-2014 Any suggestions? No need for external 5.25 (slim) drives, just 1 2.5 SSD and 2 3.5 HDD's. Motherboard is micro-atx, expansion slot would be nice for my dual intel nic, but no requirement. Also, psu is most likely going to be a pico-psu, so no need for extra room for an atx one. Thanks in advance. RE: Tiny home server case - mort96 - 08-19-2014 I went and looked through some micro-ATX cases, and found some interesting options. It kinda depends on your needs though. If you want a completely silent setup, and don't need a GPU, the FC5 OD Fanless chassis seems pretty awesome. It has a passive CPU cooler, and is really tiny at 43x32x6 centimeters. Heat worries me a bit though. I've never tried a passive CPU cooler, but I'd imagine temperatures will get pretty high under load. If you're in for something a bit more traditional, the BitFenix Prodigy M seems like a good case. It's cooled using traditional air and fans, so it won't be as quiet, but I'd imagine temperatures would be a lot better. You'll also be able to fit a GPU in there if you need. Now, I've got no experience with any of those companies, and can't vouch for their trustworthiness or the quality of their cases. I just spent some minutes searching for pretty micro-atx cases RE: Tiny home server case - Chibill - 08-20-2014 Make a high powered desktop. Or low power then upgrade it if price is an issue.but use new egg to get the stuff they have great pricing. Which reminds me I still need to save money for and i7 and 8 GB more ram.
