Yeah, I can't do these things. Not because I'm incapable, but because they never accurately show how fast I actually type. I can actually type faster than they say I can because I don't have to keep looking at the screen to see what I'm supposed to type next. Besides, considering the variable lengths of words, I think letters per second would be a better estimation of how fast someone can type.

I'm averaging about 74WPM however I only use about 4 fingers to type. Fuck typing class.. I don't need their stupid 'proper' typing methods.

Yeah, me too, I can type at least 2-4 times as fast with my own words.

Ok, I have come to realize that proper form on the keyboard helps. I use three fingers on my left hand and two on my right. With proper typing courses I could be blazing fast. I would like to be incredibly fast.

Also, it does a decent job. One is not to look down at the keyboard as they type but instead either read what they are typing or type off the top of one's head. It also states on the site that it doesn't measure how many words but instead measures how many letters one gets in a minute and bases the WPM off of the average letters per word.

Yes, it could be better, but it is pretty decent.

So, I tried it out and got 40 wpm. Did a few minute long tests on my own and averaged 50 wpm. At least, by their definition of 5 characters per second = 1 wpm. Not as fast as I thought I would be, but still faster than the site would have me believe.
