Inventory Presets ? + Poll - WrytXander - 12-16-2013
So, I had this lil idea of having inventory presets. Like typing /inv redstone would bring up useful items to your hotbar. or /inv build_medieval would fill your hot bar with wood, stone bricks and such. I know it is complicated and too broad to be made into reality. I wonder if it is possible though. Could it be server wide, or player-by-player based. Could anyone create their own inventory presets? I have shared this idea with some, they thought it was a great idea, but none of them knew the actual possibility of this being implemented.
What do you think guys? :)

Especially with the lack of too many items in 1.7.2 / 4, this would be amazing

I feel like CERTAIN admins will abuse this and fill peoples inventories with stuff.

Ouch! I have not had the pleasure of meeting "certain" admins yet :D I do not think it would be much of a problem though, both server-wide and player based.

:D Yeah! I have no idea how to implement such a thing though. Maybe there are some already existing light-weight plugins? Gotta look into it :D

Sounds awesome to me, seems like hotbar control would be easily implementable as well.

A user can per-set a inventory with a command like /setinv redstone so if they type /getinv redstone they would get it. But i need to learn a database type that will work with python or java if i make it a full java plugin.
