FTB update to 1.6.4 (pack suggestions) - Dcentrics - 12-16-2013 Should we update? I will be getting my new router in a few days, and I'm hoping to make the best of it. RE: FTB update to 1.6.4 (pack suggestions) - Chibill - 12-16-2013 I have not been on the FtB because my comp even with 4 GB of ram and quad core i5 can't run it with out lag even with my almost 8 mbs upload and 6 download. So maybe this pack will be better. What if we put our own mod pack together? so we can sort out the mods that we want and the mods that we don't want, which could make it a lot nicer for the client side. Not only will it be super personalized by the redstone community, but removing a bunch of mods that players do not use, will result in an overall smoother gameplay! Plus, players with less powerful hardware will be able to play it as well! I like the idea and we need to get ORE informed on how to get the mod pack if we build it. because it will have a special serial number we have to put into a box for it to come up on the mod packs list RE: FTB update to 1.6.4 (pack suggestions) - Apuly - 12-17-2013 It probebly would be best if one of the admins were to make a thread where you can suggest mods, and a message when a somebody joins the game to that thread. After that we can have a vote where everbody can vote for each individual mod to be included or not, and to top something will be included in the modpack. It would be awesome to include mods created by the community. However, I do see a bunch of problems with AdditionalCrafting, mostly with the spawners. For one, I think they are too easy to craft. After somebody has set up a obsidian farm, which probebly won't be very hard when surtain mods are installed, they can pretty much make an infinite amount of spawners without much work. The second problem I see with the spawners is that there is only a small amount of spawners that can be crafted. If we were to include mods which adds a bigger variaton of mobs, the mod become pretty underpowered. I do kinda like the addition of the different stairs, just for the derpiness, but I also think that it should be slightly patched, so that you can retrieve more stairs from higher value items (4 stairs from 6 diamonds, not very atractive). And last I think the recrafting from planks into logs is a bit too cheaty. I would however like to se the ability to for crafting sticks into planks, just because it more practical, and also feels more legit. And I am working on a new more to replace my old additional crafting called Better Spawners that's like the bee breasting of forestry but for mobs. But I can make a new patch on Additional Crafting for us with harder to craft spawners and more mods mob support. Sounds good. If we have the final modpack, then would probebly be the best time for the patches. As for the making of the spawners, it would probebly the most fancy if you were to include a couple of rare/hard-to-get items in the recipe. Also just making it take more time to make a spawner would be nice, for instance that instead of 2 mob-related items, you would need something like a stack (or more). |
