Some sort of public / learning CPU - EDevil - 12-02-2013 Simple; Why wont we just build a good cpu with some decent speed, a good IS (perhaps SRCIS), and a possibility of hooking up I/O to it. Then, instead of peeps always building CPU's, we can build our own I/O to the CPU, write our own programs, etc. This has a couple of advantages;
If you think this is a good idea, please let me know down below! RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - AFtExploision - 12-02-2013 This just as wryt and I started the AftXander CPU.... RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - Xray_Doc - 12-02-2013 You want to make the CPU as expansive, slow, and easy to use as possible. Also, make it really stand out where the ALU is. RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - EDevil - 12-02-2013 ^ That yeah. Nicely color coded, clear instructions. Something that the die-hard players will hate and less-experienced redstoners will love. RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - Xray_Doc - 12-09-2013 We should work together to make the slowest possible computer. By we I mean you guys. I can worsen all the designs to be slow. RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - greatgamer34 - 12-14-2013 Von Neuman also RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - Malcolmforde - 12-14-2013 I have made a very, very slow 1 wide XOR we can use. I could make it two wide so it is a little more usable. RE: Some sort of public / learning CPU - Halflife390 - 12-15-2013 Wrubbel was talking to me about how we can use virtual machines for different CPU's to run the same IS. Hes doing it with mine and his all though I dont know if it will work on all CPU's. |
