Read This Before Posting. - LordDecapo - 09-13-2018 If you have something you would like to see added, removed, changed in any way on ORE... you now have a way to petition for changes of nearly any kind! Petitions come in one of two flavors, Original and Expedited. Original is for small changes that aren't super important/are just for fun. Expedited is for things you deem more important and and /or time sensitive. Examples of Original Petitions: Add a new boat track to the end or make a new fun powertool. Examples of Expedited Petitions: Requesting a new plugin because a current one is causing you to lag out more than you should or asking for a rank. This can also be used to overturn a staffs decision. Example; You and a friend want 4 plots to make a HUGE project on and I, LordDecapo, tell you no. You are then welcome to post here and if you get enough support... BOOM you have your 4 plots! NOTE: 1) This is test of this petition idea, everything is subject to change after feedback is received. 2) Staff can Veto any Petition if it gets an internal 2/3 or greater vote towards a veto. Prevents troll petitions from getting too far. 3) Obvious troll posts... will be deleted. A petition will be classified under two categories "General" and "Expedited". The following guidelines must be met for a petitioned change to go in place. General:
The longer petitions need less overall vote, so be sure you pick the right flavor! Please use the following format when posting petitions, the same way you did for school and build applications. And remember, add a poll with 'yay' and 'nay' options, with a 7 or 14 day expiration time (depending on general vs expedited). Petition Template Quote:Type: Expedited or General The purpose of having people give reasons for and against the change, is to get people who post the petition to think critically about the change and make sure it's something they truly want. |
