Why are they, which essentially are just text files, 5MB?
I should clarify: they are voice chat .wav files. I can re-encode them as mp3 but it would be nice to know what the file size limit actually is (nginx default is 1 MiB?)

I recommend you just throw them onto YouTube and paste the link here. We don't want to give people the ability to upload relatively large files because we don't want to deal with a potential storage/bandwidth issue.
