Application - Mandelbrot_86 - 10-24-2017 Minecraft name: mandelbrot_86 What do you like the most about redstone?: I like that it has the ability to negate or OR giving it the ability to be used for any binary function. (I think it would make a great tool for teaching discrete mathematics) What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: A 5-bit RCA ALU What does the thing do?: It has a basic RCA as its core. It has !A, !B, CIN, Flood Carry, Left Shift, Right Shift and an ACC on it that can toggle as Input A. Probably the biggest design flaw is that I didn't leave myself room to grab an OR output. Image/s and/or video/s of the device, from imgur.com or youtube.com: I have a small album here https://imgur.com/a/2cWJw I can add more to this if you need better or different angles or something. It's on the School Server too in my plot. What do you plan on making for your build trial?: A 4-bit adder/subtractor Do you agree with the rules?: Yes RE: Application - PaukkuPalikka - 10-24-2017 An adder/subtractor isn't quite enough for a trial, could you do an ALU instead? (!A, !B, OR, FC, CIn are enough, or some other combination that allows you to add, subtract and do OR, AND, XOR and their inverses). Shifts (or an accumulator) not required, at least by me. But right shift is nice to have if you just have enough time during the trial and know how to do it. RE: Application - Mandelbrot_86 - 10-24-2017 Should be easy enough. I can do !A, !B, FC, CIN, and OR on it as well. Shifts and ACC aren't difficult, but they take too much time for the trial... Application - PaukkuPalikka - 10-24-2017 Accepted for trial!
