Okay. As many of you have noticed. (I hope.) The survival server is still 1.10.

This is because we need to decide if we will be resetting the world or not.

So every one there will be a poll here and you will vote on its fate.

I am voting on a reset because i feel that everything that could have been made has already been made. Survival has no use now, until it is reset.

I agree with Lam. Also I feel like we can start the server more as a unity rather than first man to kill the dragon alone and literally clear all diamonds in a 5000km radius.

What about allowing PVP? Have it an all-out battle to the death. People can form groups and what-not but allow practically anything.

Would make moderating it 1000x easier...

I don't think the punishments should be laxed. If anything, the bans could reset every map change with repeater offenders actually getting a permanent ban.

How about lockable chests? Makes the stealing problem (and issues with reverting it) nonexistant. Coreprotect will deliver with grief problems.

I think the petty "Dude you're not allowed to kill me then take my stuff" conversations need to stop. Either put keepinventory on or say you're allowed to do that.

I certainly think PvP should still be a thing because "dude 1v1 me rite nao" ppl would have nowhere to go.

Well we could install a plugin to let you claim chests.. (Lock them basiclly) and also allow PVP if both parties agree.

That system was never finalized, only talked about. We made no official changes to the rules.

Honestly I think having to *enable* PvP would take the fun out of whacking someone with a spade from behind.

I think we should have a poll as to whether people want to keep inventory (maybe there's a plugin that does this only for player-caused deaths?), or allow people to take the items they loot from killed players. Honestly no clue which people would prefer. IMO keep inventory but maybe people would argue that it takes the objective out of PvP.

Bans on survival since we reinitiated survival have always been infinite. There was one exception to that case due to some "confusion".

I think voltz previously made a post mentioning the possibility of an amplified, caveworld, or islands map. I think I speak for many when I say I'd like something other than the default world type. As far as PVP, stealing, and griefing, I think that PVP should be allowed, stealing should be allowed, but major griefing would not be justified except in the case of revenge. It would be nice to have a large no-PVP community area at spawn however, where people can build farms and other things, but not bases.

chest lockers are annoying... really a turn off. Anyways a reset is much needed. maybe a ftb instead. not doing both at once might limit the number of people on them both

I think that the map should clearly be reset. Although resetting the map is a good opportunity to change things up, I don't think we should do full on factions OR locking chests/economy plugins. I think the punishments could be relaxed to stop people expecting every diamond they deposit to be monitored 24/7, but it should still be trust based. I think it works well as it is because people are able to do PvP if they want, while people can share chests easily also. Maybe you could add a plugin for PvP management but do not remove it entirely. I vote for map reset but not for major modification of the survival scenario.

In my opinion, punishments should be laxed. If there is another way to resolve the issue, a ban isn't needed. At least find some way to allow minor/non-destructive practical jokes. Bans can still be used for times when someone has repeatedly/intentionally bothered someone, but the punishment, if any, should be handled on a case-by-case basis.
