RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Apuly - 06-02-2014

After some more googling, it seems like there is no such thing as a 1.5.2 project red (it starts at 1.6.2), so project red won't be implemented into the modpack, meaning that we're going to need to find new ways of doing the redstone stuff (something that I'm kind of looking forward to).

Minefactory reloaded has redpower like stuff called RedNet that is less CPU intensive then the real redpower stuff.

And it is in the pack if i remember right.

RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Apuly - 06-02-2014

IT IS DONE!!
I've put in the last changes, and now we have a (hopefully) working modpack.
For the people who like manual installation: Download link. For the less lazy people, Chibill is about to finish the installer, and then we will all be happy.
Nickster is still hosting the server, but at the moment I'm just waiting for him to come online so that I can send him the files. Unless he likes manual installation, then: download link.

RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Chibill - 06-02-2014

what version of forge?

RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Apuly - 06-02-2014

Just use the latest of 1.5.2. It doesn't really matter, as long as it's all the same.

RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Chibill - 06-02-2014

okay.

The Installer. It even installs Forge NOTICE: it is windows only as i don't know where the mods go on mac or linux. http://www.mediafire.com/download/lf8c5ff8lap5vvr/Installer.exe

Also you must run 1.5.2 first before installing as Forge needs this,

Just launched the Unofficial Official ORE server for this modpack!

Join nickster258.us.to

Standard 25565 port.

If you find any issues specific with hosting, contact me by PM or finding me on any of the ORE servers.

Disclaimer: FTB servers are incredibly more taxing on the host server. I will be happy if it runs incredibly smoothly.

Server info:
Running current modpack with 12GB allocated. 3 GB is allocated for my private server and I want enough room elsewhere if I need it.
16GB RAM, Phenom II X6 1045T w/ 9MB cache. All of the network devices, including server, modem, and switch, are under a PSU which lasts for about 35 minutes without power.

Lets hope my 32 bit system with 2gb of ram can handle this.
Will post results soon Confused

EDIT:
So I used the installer given above (Please add something to tell how far it is from completing) and then tried to launch it with both magic launcher and the default mc launcher.

Both times Mc started up fine, but no mods were loaded. Might it help I have attached a log: http://pastebin.com/1WdhEQNT

RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Apuly - 06-03-2014

I honestly have no experience with either of the magic launcher, so I can't help you with that.
With the default launcher, check if you're using the right instance (forge <blahdiblah>), and check if there are mods in the 'mods' folder and in the 'coremods' folder.

RE: [Survival] Modpack voting - Chibill - 06-03-2014

your using 1.6.4 you need to manually run 1.5.2 once then run the installer. then select the 1.5.2 forge in the edit profile thing in the luncher.

Also your are running MC with 1 gb of ram but that should be okay.
