Hello everyone,

Introduction
I would just like to post here cause i think other players will have a different design (still 2x2), or maybe others can improve this design.

So, today i've finished my 2x2x16 ram. Its single read, so nothing special there. Now, i guess the first thing that comes up is "We already have a perfect design 2x2 ram, Hans Lemurson's design!".

Hans Lemurson's design
Its true that this awesome guy has a fantastic design, his work was my inspiration of this project. The only thing that i didn't like about his design, was the fact that the input line was not, "flat", or "straight" (i dont know how to call it, plz dont hate me). This prevents extending the signal by repeaters, which means with a 2x2 design, the max. ammount of ram cells you can have is 7 = not a whole lot. If you don't quite get it, its slightly better explained in my video down below. My design can be extended to ∞, which is why i prefer it over Hans's.

All the other specs
  • Width: 2
  • Height: 2
  • length: 16
  • write speed: (i think, plz correct me here if i'm wrong) 3 ticks
  • Read speed: Due to the fact that the "read" line is inverted, 1 ticks.
  • As you would expect from RAM, fully stackable

My video
I've created a video about this thing. Sorry for my bad english, if you're very ocd on those things, please dont watch the video :/.

Positive criticism, suggestions or comments are appreciated!
emm, bump?
Hello Evil

Looks very nice this RAM you based it on Hans Lemurson's design ?

Regards Bram
Yes indeed, his design was my inspiration.
Nice but this has been done before Sad but I like your use of pistons
For the read. :d
Just a quick note about your read line, it actually reads instantly, but it will take 2 ticks to stop reading. Also, I'm not sure where you get 3 ticks to write. This relies on the state of 2 pistons extending or retracting to write, does it not? That should be 4 ticks. I didn't watch the whole video, I could be wrong. Nice bit of work, it's just a little tall for my tastes.
Pistions are 1.5 ticks.
Ah, that's right, I remember munin295 from Minecraftforums posted some screenshots proving that. Thank Chibill, you're right about the write being 3 ticks.
Campbell1212 comes from Western Australia, Cool!
