What do you like the most about redstone?:You can make it do whatever you want, with enough skill and practice.
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I have made a hidden door that doubles as a wall.
What does the thing do?: When you hit a hidden button, the wall opens up, revealing a base.

Your build does not show sufficient knowledge to join the build server, nor did you actually think of it yourself if you used that tutorial.
Instead, I'd recommend joining the school server
EDIT: Which you already did so disregard
