New access list for IRC channel. - tokumei - 02-23-2016

A new change is coming to the IRC service. Before you can join the channel, you will have to be added to the access list (which staff members will be able to do). You will also be required to register your nickname. Implementation of this system is still in progress, and I am sorry if there are any outages that are caused by this period of maintenance.


You can register by sending the following message:

/msg NickServ register <password> <email>
Once it is registered, an email will be sent to you at the address provided. In order to retain your login information, you have to open the email and follow the instructions.
Note: Check your spam. Your email might have found it as spam.

Once done, you can log in with:
Code:
/msg NickServ identify <password>
If you are not logged in, you will not be allowed to access the channel.

Okay, this has changed slightly. Now you are allowed to join the channel but you will be unable to chat until you register an account and ask an admin to whitelist you. The previous setup auto-banned (thanks devs) anyone that attempted to join while unauthorized, so we switched to a much "nicer" behavior.

Hi guys, right now I am in France in holiday and I would like to join IRC. In the past months on my computer I could just connect but right now I can't send msgs (cannot connect to channel +m ) I'm using IRC from the ore website and I'm registered and it normally works fine. Anyone can help me out???
