Jmal116's application - jmal116 - 04-24-2013

What is your In Game Name (IGN): jmal116

What in particular interests you most about redstone: building huge things just to blow the minds of others Smile

Which prompt have you selected to build: 5 and 2 (just so that I can say I did something that you wanted me to lol)

Please provide an explanation of your device:
1. (prompt 5) This a redstone game called quarto, based off an actual game in real life. It allows you to play the game with another player, has automatic win and tie detection, and is completely cheat proof. Rules are in the video.

2. (prompt 2) The second machine uses the double dabble algorithm to change any 8 bit binary # into BCD. Mine works be physically shifting the number with a shift register, then adding 3 when any group of 4 binary numbers gets above 5. It's probably a lot easier to understand if you look it up yourself Tongue

Please provide image or video documentation of your device hosted by either imgur.com or youtube.com:
Quarto board: Youtube stuffs!! (no pics, sorry)

Double Dabble: (this one doesn't have a video) Imgur stuffs!!

Do you agree to the rules of our server: yes (I'm hoping that this was not really doubted)

Looks good! You will be promoted to guest when you get on the server (if a staff member is present. Simply mention that your application has been accepted. You will then be able to take a trial any time a staff member is present, and assuming you pass you will become a member! What do you plan on building for your trial?

honestly, I'm not really sure. I've had a few projects that I have been working on in my singleplayer world, but whether or not those could be brought onto the server I don't know.

You must actually build your trial while on the server. Build something that will show us that you know what you're doing! It doesn't have to be very complicated, especially because you only have 1 hour.
