Teacher Permissions Request - Neogreenyew - 09-01-2013

As a teacher, it's rather annoying to have the cross-server IRC running while trying to teach.

I propose a system where a teacher types something like '/irc_pause Request' then there's a notification on both servers saying to type '/irc_pause Deny' if you do not wish for the IRC to be paused. If there is no response within 15-ish seconds, then the cross-server IRC pauses allowing for easier teaching.
Of course, only people with high enough ranks on Build/School will be able to Deny the pause request.

Another problem is that we do not have permission to build on other plots without them typing /padd <name>. I heard from someone that this was not supposed to be the case. This isn't too big of a problem, it's just a tad bit annoying at times.

That is all. Thank you for your time.

We have already been discussing changing the way the teaching system works. Teacher should be able to build on other peoples' plots. In fact that was one of the reasons we separated teacher and builder in the first place (teacher can be trusted to build on all plots).

As for disabling the interserver chat I still think we can leave that up to the admins.

Admins aren't always online.
