experience concern - Dr Gore - 10-30-2015

I looked at the server the other day as well as the rest of the forums and I was a bit concerned with the level of complexity of a lot of the builds, I saw mostly a lot of high level computer stuff, and although I could probably learn that if I wanted to, it's just not something that holds my intrest currently, although it may in the future, currently I'm just wanting to get some help compacting, and working on a lot of my automated farms and contraptions like that and such. In all what I want is just a small server of a few people who will be able to help me with low level farms and other simple contraptions that would be viable for survival minecraft. Furthermore if this isn't the place I should be looking could somebody point me to where I should go?

For survival kind of stuff, this is indeed probably the place you aren't looking for -- and I don't really think there is any server specifically for that type of builds.

You can try joining our school server and build there, however as far as I know there aren't really a lot of people here who are good at automated farms and stuff.

well thank you, and I probably will apply for the school as being a self taught I learned some things in a pretty weird order and I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff and still have a lot left to learn from early days

When I first started doing computational redstone I wasn't that into it either, but then I learned some stuff and really suprised myself, now I'm a full blown computer nerd running Linux and everything. I highly suggest you give it a try, if you don't like it then you can always leave.

Styms may help you
Server IP is
Beta.redstone-server.info
They do redstone, but have no real focus on anything in particular. We do computers they do a small bit of everything, including survival stuff.
Hope this helps
