hey all - 0111000001101001 - 08-15-2015

so I have decided to move away from redstone no one does it any more and there are way cooler things to do. Im getting into arduino and logisim now. but I did say a few months ago I had some really cool new ideas on how to build CPUs, ALUs, and the sort and I will be sharing this via the enterwebs, and with pictures lots and lots of pictures. Ill start post pictures if I can get 10 likes on this thread so i'm not wasting 2 hrs taking pictures and explaining them. I already know some one is going to say "if some one wants to see it they will look at it" well not good enough. 10 likes = my ideas, concepts, and applications. thank you for all your support. have a wonderful day. a message with "like" will do just fine.

"Like" (this forum should have this feature). Sorry to see you go, but you should still share your work with us!

newomaster, i agree i should share my stuff some of it is pretty cool. ill show some of my easier to explain stuff first see how it goes. for anyone who doesnt know/remembers martin the warrior and 0111000001101001 are one in the same. and im not technically gone once i can find a way to build stuff in a timely manner ill continue. so yes this stuff only works in theory or is not applied any where. sorry for any announces this post caused as i should have just shared the information instead of hogging it. but at the time the thought of uploading pictures and taking them and explaining them wasnt happening, but now i feel like it. so enjoy. ask many question if needed.

*some of it is probably is not the best or the fastest but some of it is new as far as i know. enjoy. Smile

[Image: wxeFCj8.jpg][Image: MAvkd09.jpg?1]ok this is the first thing im sharing as it is one of my better ones.

this is my hexadecimal ROM. you store your number in the droppers and select the cell on the side (lever locations) this deactivates a piston and the dropper is read thought the block. this is a 2x8 but the (8) can be any number it is expansible infinity. it stacks perfectly and is side by side for serious compactness. more than one cell can be activated at one time this will add them together so if you have a cell with 2 in it and a cell with 1 in it the number will come out as a 3. so this technically compacts it further as you can just activate more cells to make different numbers. i recommend it for non branching program memory for a small unit as the speed of it is only as slow as the clock cycle. i would actually like feed back on what you guys think of this component. it took a bit of time to get this all up so ill see if this is a good explanation and good pictures. more to come depending on amount of time to get picture/explanation feedback. once that happens and its good ill upload lots more at atime. thanks. have a good day.

I've made something similar. it was a bit bigger because it had a hex decoder attached to each one so that essentially you put in one hex value and get out another(whatever the container is).
