Hello World. pebble here! - pebble225 - 07-06-2015 Hello redstoners. I am Caleb, you can call me pebble. (mah username) I started redstoning when they added the super-flat worlds. The first interesting things I made where simple mob arenas, but they required a bunch of work to play on. I started getting into programming a few years back when I started to learn Batch, a language that is so simple, it shouldn't exist. JK it is actually pretty helpful, I still use it to make my computer easier to use. Anyways, around October last year I began to program with Java and I really began to understand the ropes of programming really well. I then went back to Minecraft redstone and really wanted to learn how to make a computer. I knew to start easy though and started by making Arithmetic units, then ALUs, then Simple Calculators, and the latest thing I made was an open source device that had RAM, ROM, an ALU, and a simple hardrive. Best part was that it was all 16bits. Unfortunately, only very recently have I been posting creations on the MC Forums and got a lot of criticism. However I was very humble towards accepting that I still probably suck at redstone stuff. So here I am today. Eager to learn and fail and learn some more and fail some more and slowly will I git gud. I saw that this forum has a server. I just made this account and I would like to know what I should do next. RE: Hello World. pebble here! - Magic :^) - 07-07-2015 heh mc forums i remember my early days on there what to do next? I'd say apply for the school or build server. It depends on your ability, but since you mention ALUs and adders etc. I think you could go for a build application. make your application here: https://forum.openredstone.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=12 relevant information about how gud you must be: https://forum.openredstone.org/showthread.php?tid=4 https://forum.openredstone.org/showthread.php?tid=6830 |
