GTX 980 Ti released - Xray_Doc - 06-01-2015

Shit looks fucking insane, and especially for the price. I'm considering picking one up in a few weeks after it restocks and I see more consumer reviews.

Yup, getting one my self, quicker sumery, it's very consistently around 3% slower then a titan, lacks about 9% of most processing stuff though, my only dislike about it is the 1/32 FP32, would be nice if it was a bit quicker for doubles but oh well.

EDIT: Maga forgot to log out of admin ~Nonemu

Admin is maga confirmed. I'm gonna get myself once school ends and I'll build that PC I was planning.

I am still waiting for the new AMD cards for my next build. I will post pictures of the build when the parts arrive tomorrow.

RE: GTX 980 Ti released - Magazorb - 06-03-2015

Umm, maybe we should have a new build's section made for PC stuff, so we can show off or get advice/feed back, or what ever else.

Also the new Intel chips seem pretty cool, 5775C iirc, about 5.5% IPC more then 4770K and can use the iGPU's cache as CPU L4 cache, anandtech estimated that will give a average IPC increase of 10%, so although it's about 15% slower in clock speed at stock, when overclock to around the same clocks, it should perform a little better.

also i think 980TI is just a bit overkill, but why not? xD

iirc, AMD will have a 300 series card released
around the end of this month, no idea what it will be though.

Right after I ordered the 4690K also. But tbh, I don't find the $270 i5 as something to look forward to.

RE: GTX 980 Ti released - Xray_Doc - 06-04-2015

It's overkill now, but game requirements are jumping a lot recentally. It's also processes VR screens easier by omitting pixels it doesn't need to render. Also, it's a good start towards single card 4k.

If you make a builds forum make it a subforum of this one, that makes the most sense.
