Application for redstone build server - Gunnirambo - 05-02-2015 Minecraft name: Gunnirambo What do you like the most about redstone?: I realy like being able to make something magnificent like a calculator or a bynary convertor or something out of few blocks and some redstone. I once made a working calculator but I don't have it becouse my computer crashed and I am just starting playing Minecraft on a new account and on a new computer so I don't have a lot of works to show but I defenely have a lot of experience with redstone ![]() What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: It is a bynary to decimal number converter whith a redstone lamp display, the pistons push a redstone block which activates the lamps. This is only one simple thing of many more complicatet works I have done. What does the thing do?: You put in a bynary number sequence like (11001) and it converts it into a dicimal number (25) Image/s and/or video/s of the device, from imgur.com or youtube.com: http://i.imgur.com/jPJLQ.jpg Do you agree with the rules?: Yes, they are very nice Ps, hope you enjoy and want me in your community. Greetings from Iceland RE: Application for redstone build server - PabloDons - 05-02-2015 Nice application, I understand that your calculator may have been deleted, but a binary to decimal converter doesn't really demonstrate enough redstone knowledge to become a builder. Can you explain your calculator? what does it do, how does it work, etc. If you can then that would be great! RE: Application for redstone build server - Gunnirambo - 05-03-2015 Hey, thank you. It worked like that; 1)A user input from 0-15 2)Then that is turned into binary with a simple converter 3)Then I made memory wires for two inputs (8 lines) 4)Then I reorganized the lines. like A1-B1;A2-B2... 5)Then I made adders on first floor and subtractors on second 6)Then I turned it back into decimal numbers 7)And finally I made a digital display out of redstone lamps So it was a addition and subtaction calculator. RE: Application for redstone build server - PabloDons - 05-03-2015 Unfortunately this does not meet the requirements for a build server application (https://forum.openredstone.org/showthread.php?tid=4). However if you can rebuild it using one calculation unit instead of the two you have made (for subtraction and addition) and include multiplication, I will be happy to accept you. In order to learn how to do this, I would recommend you apply for the school server (https://openredstone.org/guides/apply-school-server/) where teachers can show you the concept. Then feel free to apply again RE: Application for redstone build server - Gunnirambo - 05-03-2015 Thank you very much, im in my final exams right now but I will be starting working on the calculator after I finished my exams. |
