What in particular interests you most about redstone: The act of engineering within a separate game. The community of Minecraft of whole all contributing to better innovate the game and make gameplay easier.
Which prompt have you selected to build: 4. Show us a device that demonstrates a deep understanding of the timing and mechanics of redstone.

Please provide an explanation of your device: I decided I would build what is probably my favorite invention. I informally call it the 'Pirate Ship' cannon. Basically, it is a TNT cannon which is flush with the wall and it retracts every shot. It certainly took a lot of fiddling with the timing of ignition to perfect and it was a lot of fun to make. I understand that TNT cannons may not be acceptable on the server so let me know if I need to change.

I would say that while your build is impressive, it is not the kind of redstone that we do on this server. Perhaps you could make something that utilizes binary logic?
