Web Server Suggestions - tyler569 - 01-29-2015 Hello Everyone again, Since I'm sitting in a class on managing information systems projects and talking about getting qualitative and quantitative feedback during the planning stages, I thought I'd open up an opportunity for people to suggest potential additions/changes to the web server while it's being rebuilt. I make no guarantees I'll operate on any suggestions, but if there are good suggestions I'll certainly investigate them. --Tyler EDIT: been asked to describe what's changing: As of right now, nothing at all. I'm just rehosting it and making delicious backend changes. This, however presents a beautiful opportunity to change things, so I wanted to canvass suggestions. RE: Web Server Suggestions - Back_and_Black1 - 01-29-2015 I have some simple ideas and sorry ahead of time for my lack or research ahead of time lol, but if there is an ore twitter, fb etc (any social media) you could add a feed to the main page. (just a thought) Also maybe a new color scheme, in my opinion it looks quite boring but obviously don't go over board with it lol. RE: Web Server Suggestions - Tommyand - 04-06-2015 Alright, so I was messing around with the main website, and I noticed several things that are missing. Here is a list of what I have noticed so far: The 'Guides' page is blank, despite there being several guides listed in the menu. The Guide for applying to the school server has a few broken links pointing to "openredstone.org/forums/whatever" instead of "forums.openredstone.org/whatever" The 'Apply' page has links to "lucifugus.vms.pw", the test server, instead of "openredstone.org" The 'Using WorldEdit' guide has a broken link to a cheat sheet. The 'Plugins' page seems to be a placeholder, but that was probably already known. The currently default forum theme seems to be referring to smilies as, EX. 'tougue.gif' when it's really 'tongue.png' If anyone else has noticed anything not on this list, I'll make a thread for this ASAP, and we can talk about this there. Staff: What is planned to fix these things? Could you please point me to a (sub-)forum where a thread for this could be placed and maintained? Or, better yet, could staff maintain this list instead of me? Alright, now that that is out of the way, I can relax.
