I discovered, that by default, EssentialsProtect is set to prevent villager death, so I told Nuup, who SSH'd to the server and changed the value from true to false, restarted and all is good!
Hahaha now I can kill the Alan Turing's crazyninja2 puts on my plot xD

seriously? I've had villagers in my plot for ages because of this! i dont even remember who spammed them.

villages are like 90% places by Neo, Crazy, Slug, or Snug... no one else does that, so crazy is a safe bet lolol
