What do you like the most about redstone?: Not so much a single subject, but just the breakthroughs on a problem. When you have a big issue that you're trying to fix, and you just take the time to think it out. When you do find a solution, that's the best feeling I've ever had with redstone.
What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: The start to a hard drive system which is able to store 24 bytes in a single minecart.
What does the thing do?: At the moment it only writes the data to the cart, but that is probably the hardest part. I know how to do the reading and I already have a basic mass storage system for the carts. There is much more explanation in the imgur link.
