My Application - Xaviercarroll - 10-06-2014 Minecraft name: Xaviercarroll What do you like the most about redstone? I like the fact that it is possible to build anything with redstone. (Computers are my interest) What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge? What does it do?: Its one of my most recent creations. its an 11x11 Display with an image processing GPU with 5 slots of Memory to save your images. It has two input devices; A touch pad to walk on(black and white part), and a part which picks 1 pixel at a time for more harder images to make. Do you agree with the rules?: I do agree with the rules http://imgur.com/Sa0RMDg http://imgur.com/gallery/iYcvGR1/new Forgot to say It uses all the projectRed mods RE: My Application - Tjakka5 - 10-06-2014 Sadly this does not hold up to our standards of the ORE server. We are looking for people who have a (slight) grasp on how redstone computing works, and are able to make something with that knowledge. And although such a display is cool, it is not good enough. Try looking into stuff like adders and such, or alternativly, join our school server to learn more. (Am I allowed to do this as a non staff member?) I may add that we will not let anyone trial unless we're 100% sure they will pass. Otherwise it's just waste of trialee's and the trialing admin's time. I shall accept this for school instead. RE: My Application - Tjakka5 - 10-06-2014 I feel like some people (like meh) should be allowed to rate applications though. As long as we know the standards (as I have mentioned above) it should be fine. And as you said, it makes the staff's life much easier. I for one also would give a proper explanation why it was declined. It's too far away to see any of the logic from there. (10-06-2014, 07:02 PM)Tjakka5 Wrote: (Am I allowed to do this as a non staff member?) The main reason that it's not allowed is because it makes it difficult to see which applications have been looked at. Usually when I look for applications to review I'm looking at which applications have 0 responses. If an application has a response already I'm more likely to skip it, so an application with a member judging it like this is more likely to never get reviewed by an admin. Refrain from doing it too much, unless it's an applicant that has no pictures or is very obviously not qualified (in which case they would have to edit their application again anyway, putting it back at the top). |
