Application by Srtopo, the guy wich it's inventions go beyond the world limits xD - srtopo - 09-02-2014

Minecraft name: srtopo
What do you like the most about redstone:

Is's an intuitive way to learn electronic, binary, etc. For example when I took classes and they teach me to understand binary, logic gates, simple circuits, even in the practic you cannot rlly see it in action. Minecraft alows you to introduce yourself in the circuit, be able to folow the singals and understand whats happening or why something does not work, it alows you to explore the nano-second scale world that it's runnning all the time all around us, and it helps you to relize that human inteligece its able to control, time and sucesfully program events in a nano-second
scale, with is amazing.

What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge? & What does it do:

Well, I didnt do too mucho of a projects, i built some ram, 4bit computer (folowing benny turorial), etc. on my own I suscesfully emuled my project of the university wich consisted in a foton counter wich was basicly a simple 8 digit counter wich had some funcionts like timed counts (wich 4 diferent time scales), chopped counts (in wich it counts backwards to substract noise), and both of thees coud be done in a single count or one after another. The final foton numer (proportional to ligth intensisty, not in minecraft obiously xD) is stored then by reeding the 8 digits
from a single line, doging a sweep. I also did a display emuling arduino's 16x2 display (wich was pasted and crashed the sever yesterday cos it was huge xD sorry). It's basicly a simple display wich 32 characters in 2 rows of 16, each character has 5x7 pixels (wich are 4x4 blocks)
Information is written in the display (128 posible characters (7bit decoder)) from one single bus, timing data arrival and memory reading in the bus by adjusting repeaters and sending pulses (4tics each aprox) of data wich alows the display to fill in aprox 4x16 tiks (kinda slow tho )= ).
It has it's own program memory in wich you can program it.

Do you agree with the rules?: ofc! xD

PD: sorry about my bad english, im from spain )=.

Looks awesome Smile
Ask a staff for a trial at your own convenience.

Altho I'm not sure if that display has enough actual logic in it to pass the trial, a well explained 4bit CPU certainly does! (We expect more logic oriented builds in the trial, I recommend you to build atleast an ALU.)
