DNS problems and openredstone.org - redstonewarrior - 06-22-2013 As you probably have found, minecraftore.org isn't currently working. Network solutions, the people who we register our domain with, are currently experiencing severe problems, causing minecraftore.org to not resolve. For this reason, we threw up a new domain (openredstone.org), and will probably continue to use it after the DNS outage. When it works again, minecraftore.org will redirect to openredstone.org (Specifically on the wiki.) As a side effect, connecting to school no longer requires a port. We've been meaning to switch to a more suitable DNS host for quite a while, and this forced our hand. To update everyone on the situation, all forum users may be receiving an email about the change. All active services are listed on the wiki's front page, and are basically the equivalent as before, but with openredstone instead of minecraftore (Both will work when the DNS fixes their issues, but minecraftore will have cookie problems on the forums/wiki.) Regards, rsw RE: DNS problems and openredstone.org - Xray_Doc - 06-22-2013 I like the name of the domain "Open Redstone" better than Minecraft Ore. RE: DNS problems and openredstone.org - redstonewarrior - 07-29-2013 GoDaddy, sadly. We did this in haste, and I didn't spend the time finding alternatives. At least their online interface allows custom SRV records :S RE: DNS problems and openredstone.org - Billman555555 - 07-29-2013 (07-29-2013, 05:52 PM)redstonewarrior Wrote: GoDaddy, sadly. RE: DNS problems and openredstone.org - redstonewarrior - 07-30-2013 GoDaddy, but sadly, NetworkSolutions doesn't offer custom SRV records, so you'd need a port to access school.
