Build Server Application - mazsolaskuglof - 07-28-2014

Hey ORE!

Minecraft name: mazsolaskuglof

What do you like the most about redstone?:
The fact that you can make really complex digital devices out of few components which rely on very simple concepts.

What's a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?: I made an instant-carry adder based 7 bit multiplier.

What does it do?:
It takes two 7 bit binary number and multiplies them giving a 14 bit answer. I designed it myself and it works based on real-life multiplication on paper.

Do you agree with the rules?: Of course. Big Grin

P.s.: Why did I choose 7 bits?
1. It divides 42.
2. It is the first digit of the best number, 73. (to see why it is the number, watch "The Big Bang Theory, Season 4 Episode 10")
3. It is a prime.
4. It is a Mersenne prime. (1 less than a power of 2).
5. It can generate a cyclic number.
6. In binary, it is made out of 3 ones, which is the 2nd prime, which is also a prime. (ok, it is getting a bit complicated now. Big Grin)
7. When you ask people to say a number between 1 and 10, most of them will say 7.
8. And last, but not least: because the ICA gets uncomfortable to build at 8 bits. Big GrinD (the joke Big Grin)

Sorry if my english was wrong, it is not perfect indeed. Big Grin
